Asbury United Methodist Church is an inclusive community of faith in Warwick, RI where everyone is welcome to come worship God together.
Asbury United Methodist Episcopal Church was organized on march 25, 1930 by the Reverend Francis H. Spear, its first pastor. Groundbreaking for the church occurred on June 25, 1932. Over the next 9 years, funds were raised to build the church. Services were held in what is now our social hall until the completion of the sanctuary on May 26, 1940. Since that time, Asbury United Methodist has grown with its community offering a spiritual home to all.

Asbury UMC has done a great job in our outreach to the community by working with the Mu Theta Lambda of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. to make sandwich lunches that were distributed to the homeless at Kennedy Square yesterday. Johnell and Cynthia Norton also visited Warwick fire station (#8) to give our thanks for all of their hard work and to distribute devotional books. We love our community!
